I didn’t pick up a camera just to take pictures—I picked it up to tell the truth. Every frame I create comes from lived experience, history, and responsibility. As a Black photographer, I stand on the shoulders of storytellers who documented life when the world refused to look, and I carry that legacy forward with intention. My work isn’t about trends or validation; it’s about preservation, honesty, and impact. I was there to witness moments as they unfolded, and I will continue to be there—translating emotion, struggle, beauty, and resilience into images that speak when words fall short. Now and in the future, my purpose remains the same: to tell stories that matter, to audiences that deserve authenticity. That commitment is what places me among the photographers who don’t just capture history—but help define it.

I love spending relaxed moments gazing at the beautiful sea, the sky, the stars, or the moon. I treasure the kindness of family and friends, and I enjoy listening to my favorite music. There are so many things I love… but recently, I watched Pay It Forward again, and it reminded me how important it is to show compassion to others—one of the reasons I love that movie so much.
I also enjoy comedies and fantasy stories! People often tell me I’m caring, like a “motherly” type (haha).
I appreciate people who are bright, kind, and considerate. I’m not fond of selfishness or those who ignore morals and manners. I feel a connection with people who share my love for music and laughter, and who approach work, hobbies, and life with positivity and dedication. Those are the qualities I find truly inspiring.

ACHIEVEMENTS

THE JOURNEY / 2015
YouTube Short Film ee

After stepping away from Osaka and Travels to fully embrace life as a freelance photographer, my journey led me into spaces where stories urgently needed to be told. Through this work, I gained access to community leaders and organizations actively engaged in the ongoing fight for human rights. One of those organizations, Right2Survive/Right2Dream, operates a homeless rest site in the heart of Portland—a space rooted in dignity, resistance, and collective care. It is here that people gather not only to survive, but to advocate for justice and ensure that voices too often ignored are finally heard.

The Documentarian Hunter  - Short Films
This short film is the first installment in a three-part series documenting my life on the road as a photographer and documentarian—before, during, and after the pandemic we continue to live through. It functions as a field report on the intersecting injustices surrounding homelessness and mental health, while emphasizing the urgent need for accurate, firsthand information about the events unfolding in our communities—the places where we live, work, and connect every day.

YOUTUBE / Central Park - The Golden Hours of NYC Parks

Another glimpse into one of the most beautiful parks in New York City—and the people who cherish its landscapes, history, and daily life. As the oldest park in America, it remains a living space for movement, rest, and community. As a YouTuber, I’m constantly creating and sharing content, including live streams, to capture these moments as they unfold in real time.

Right To Survive / Right 2 Dream Too 2016
Japanese
American Film Festival - San Jose, California
This film is based on true events in the city of Portland, Oregon. It examines the lived experiences of Portlanders facing homelessness, alongside the reality of housed residents who witness the ongoing injustice directed at their unhoused neighbors. The systems designed to serve and protect the American people have too often failed, leaving many without meaningful support.
Right2Survive (R2S) exists to bring visibility to these realities—stories that are frequently ignored, dismissed, or deliberately left unseen.
