My work means a lot to me, and as an artist, I truly love what I do. I’m all about capturing those real moments in time. I cover all kinds of events — including major city events — and I have NYC press photographer credentials.

After choosing to step away from Osaka for a while to explore life as a freelance photographer, my journey continued as I gained access to community leaders and organizations deeply involved in the ongoing fight for human rights. One of those groups, Right2Survive/Right2Dream, operates a homeless rest site in the heart of Portland — a place where people come together to advocate for justice and amplify the voices of those too often unheard.

The Documentarian Hunter  - Short Films
​This short film is the first in a three-part series documenting my life on the road as a photographer and documentarian before, during, and after the pandemic we’re all living through. It serves as a field report on the injustices surrounding homelessness and mental health, and highlights the need for accurate information about the events unfolding in our communities — the places where we live, work, and connect every day.

Right To Survive / Right 2 Dream Too 2016
​Japanese American Film Festival - San Jose, California 
​This film is based on a true event in the city of Portland, Oregon. It explores the experiences of Portlanders facing homelessness, as well as the challenges felt by housed residents who continue to witness the ongoing injustice directed toward their unhoused neighbors. The system that was meant to serve and protect the American people has often failed them, leaving many without support.
Right2Survive (R2S) works to shed light on these hardships—stories that many people choose not to see or confront
